Hand washing

We offer a unique hand washing service using only soap and water. No chemicals are used. We guarantee you will be delighted with the results. We wash all wool rugs, kilims and textiles - they do not have to be Oriental. The cost is $2.50 per square foot with free pick-up and delivery within the greater Cleveland area.

 

Repairs & Restoration

Erdogan started a rug repair business in Boston, MA in 1987 and has maintained his connections in the rug repair world.

Erdogan repairs rugs on the premises, if these are not too extensive: overcasting the ends of the rugs & rebinding the edges, as well as small repairs. If your rugs need major work - restoration, we have a workshop in Turkey for such assignments. Clients should be aware that restoration/conservation work can take up to 6-8 months. The cost for repair & restoration carried out on or off the premises is estimated on a case by case basis.

If we do not have the rug you are looking for, we can find that special piece for you. After a thorough discussion to determine the size, style, colours and budget you have in mind, we will show you photos of possible rugs we can access through our network of sources, before having the piece shipped to Cleveland for your approval.

Appraisals

We will do appraisals of oriental rugs coming to your house, taking photographs and providing you with a written record. Appraisals are $100 per rug. Alternatively, we are happy to give you a verbal opinion in the store, if you bring your rug to us.

Custom orders

We are able to make rugs to your specification of colour, size and design (as long as that rug design is a type we stock). These rugs are made using handspun wools and vegetable dyes and are of the highest quality. A custom order will take between 4-8 months, depending on the size of the piece.
